A little over a year ago I became a dad, and now in a few more months I will do so again. This experience has been transformative. And just as I have a ring-side seat to my son's discovery of the world, I would feel privileged to experience what he is going through now by seeing the world new again. The profundity of that connection, with something so much larger than one person and at the same time a with such a direct parallel to a newborn's grasp of the world, this would be bliss.
