I am entering this competition to see the one view I have always wanted to see since I was a little boy, the Earth. Viewing it from space will allow me to see our home for the first time as a peaceful planet and a place that protects me from the harsh reality of the universe. On Earth all I see is pain and suffering caused by its own inhabitants to every life form on this 3rd rock from the Sun.
I have always hoped as I view the Earth from space I would get a feeling of unity, I wouldn't see any borders to classify countries like Israel and Lebanon, Ireland and Northern Ireland, North and South Korea, I would see a planet that sustains the entire human population with no discrimination towards one colour, religious stance or economy classification.
Mostly I have just wanted to see the bigger picture of the universe beyond my little corner of this amazing planet.
I would appreciate the opportunity to fulfill my dream.
