Hi! I'm a stay-at-home mom! Not exactly the most qualified opening statement for such an application as this. However, I hope when people read that they'll think, "Well, she's obviously already in outer space mentally, she might as well go physically, too." And if crazy gets your vote, then I'm as crazy as they come!
Born in Saskatchewan, I was raised to love the sky. It was my father who directed my eyes to the mysterious sea above us. We watched in awe as cummulus mountains grew and vanished before our eyes and counted the colours in the Aurora Borealis. With our telescope from the Sears catalogue we navigated the details of the night sky ("The second star hanging off Orion's Belt is actually a nebula," he'd remind me.)
I don't enter many contests. I don't buy lottery tickets. I do laundry, wash dishes, wipe runny noses (hmmm, maybe space isn't far away enough...) - and I dream. That will never change. This would be a dream come true.
