It's taken me a while to think about the words that just may get me into space, and I have come to the realization that the most inspiring thing i can say or write about is the sheer impact that it would have on my friends and family. I am a first generation college grad, born and raised in south Philly, with a good job working for the court system helping people during their most vulnerable. By achieving a few milestones such as these, I see how others such as my younger sisters and friends continue to push themselves in an attempt to go for their dreams, no matter how "Spacey" they may seem. To be selected for such a prestigious gift would not only show me that anything is possible but also a large number of inner city youths that the American dream is still alive and it's not "who you know" but "how bad you want it". If given the opportunity for a once in a lifetime chance like this, I will show the world and whatever else that maybe out there what ordinary people can do.
